Welcome to my website, my name is Gillian – most call me Gill. I work as an integrative counsellor, using person centred therapy as the foundation of my work, then I draw on other counselling modalities to find the best fit for you.
Why Counselling
Counselling allows you to discuss your problems and any difficult feelings you may have to someone who is not emotionally involved in your life. Counselling offers a safe space where you can feel listened to and understood. Counselling is a process, it is a journey which can help you to look at the difficulties, the guilt, the anxieties and free yourself from the shackles of negativity and leave you ready to embrace life.
The following list, which is by no means exhaustive, are some of the reasons people seek counselling:
Abuse
Anger Issues
Anxiety
Bereavement
Bullying
Cyber bullying
Couples counselling
Depression
Eating disorders
Family Issues
Low self esteem
Pet Bereavement
Relationship Issues
Trauma
About Me
After becoming a fully qualified counsellor I decided to go on and study a Bachelor of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy as I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of differing theoretical approaches. I have also had the pleasure of managing two busy diverse charitable practices, these experiences have facilitated in my growth as a counsellor.
I work to your needs, the sessions are tailored to you, providing a safe space for you to say the unsayable, allowing you to be heard without judgement.
